Re: More Madden NFL 16 Gameplay Videos

for the love of god. EA tune down the Aggressive chance of success. It seems that 1 out of 4 deep aggressive catch is a complete pass. This could ruin the experience. We already had this before. deep passes being money.

From my experience it's not really like that. I think people are just trying to show off those high point catches in these videos and they're also used to playing the ball not the receiver. I also believe almost every E3 video is on Pro difficulty.

hopefully you are right, but 99% of the time i saw these kind of issues on E build, then it end up being an issue on final game. Remember how the community notice the deep passes being money a few versions before, then it happened with the passes being always accurate even EA promotion said that now QB were going o be more realistic. And last, the sacks issues, with so many videos community notice how CPU takes dumb sacks over and over and it end up on madden 15 final release.

On this last video, you can see the QB doing the whole field on 4 passes completing 2 deep using the aggressive catch button. And i already saw this over and over on different videos posted on the net.

Also i think Dickerson or whoever the EA dev is, said that the demo was on All pro as default.

The demo was on pro default, you can see it in some of the videos.

This is pretty though. But what would have happened if two or three defenders from the front wanted to drive this pile backwards?

Not sure why everyone is jumping on dkp for his comments. The first play of the video that jp gave as an example was an interaction that could possibly use more refinement.

It looks pretty good and believable for passing the eye test, but is think dkp was looking for examples where a pile is stood up and other defenders come in to influence said pile, by driving the pile back. That play was a little basic and I agree that the last two defenders really didn't do much on the play. Not saying the first two guys couldn't have finished the play off and started bring the ball carrier down as the last two got there, but my hope is that there are enough of each of the moments to make it seem fresh and organic each game.

The example BleedGreen710 posted is really nice! Is it possible for the same to happen in reverse where the pile gets driven back? Anyone find any examples of that?

jpdavis, I don't think you're on the same page as OS user poster.

We're not referring to the HBs (half back) trying to push the pile forward, we're referring to a 3rd/4th defender coming in at a secondary and tertiary angle affecting the initial 1st/2nd defender combined pile push, ultimately resulting in a total complete change of vector angle.

Simply terms .... (the amount of yards moved is insignificant)
A) 1st/2nd defender + HBs = pile moving forward for two to three yards.
B) 3rd/4th defender comes in from the front, deliver a massive hit, and continues to drive, resulting in the pile moving backwards for four to five yards.

Look at the below examples. Point A ---> Point B ---> Point C ( ---> Point D). Look at where the pile ends up. Look at the trajectory of the pile gets alter by each and every single defender that comes into play. Look how the direction gets changed whenever a defender/tackler hits the pile. The ball carrier initially wanted to get to the endzone or first down marker. Look how the pile gets driven back. We're not talking about the running back/ball carrier moving the pile, we're talking solely about the defensive tacklers moving the pile.

Once this gets properly implemented, I would like to see an offensive player come in from behind and try to drive the pile forward.

My head is spinning, that looks too much like work to figure that out. Are you a math major or something?

Not a math major, but have taken physics and mathematics. Plus you don't really need to have a strong physics nor math background. It's the concept that matters. Just look at the location of Point A and Point B and Point C and Point D. Forget about the arrows. Please don't disregard it just because it looks a tad complicated because this is the type of stuff that isn't truly replicated well in a Madden gang tackle yet. Currently it definitely looks better than past iteration. But it needs more.

Here's a simplified version.

Texasfan2005 that's a good one also but JP got it wrong.its the double tackle at 5:22 in the video. CJ goes for an aggressive catch and gets tackled by the safety then I think the corner comes in before he hits the ground and gets a hit in. It looked smooth I just wanted to see it in slow mo
