Sorry bro. I'm glad it's in. You'll get over it soon. If not, just wish when you have your 5 you can back out of playing 3 or 4 players until you see 5. God bless.

I play team up a lot with my friends and we usually play 3 vs 3 so you have 2 CPU players on each team.
Enjoy the bloated stats and tainted leaderboard then

Finally got the OG Crew that look like it will be improved. Just kind of worried about the SFs this year. Hopefully we can see the other teams lineup beforehand and see if we'd like to back out or not like before.
Being able to see the other team would be a huge plus. I would hope the match making puts you up against a team of equivalent ability though.

As for this whole 5v5 cpu or player controlled.

I think having the option of cpu controlled makes a lot of sense. Some people don't have 4 other friends irl that play this game (me being one of them). So we should miss out on an entire mode because we can't convince another friend to buy the game? Nah.

It's pretty balanced as well. If you're playing with 5 humans against 3 (+2cpu) then your full human team has the benefit of intelligence quite simply. The cpu is thicker than a McDonald's shake. They don't have a clue what to do on offense a lot of the time and cut into the middle of the D at really weird points (usually just as you're passing it to them). The Human team can communicate better and let's face it, humans > cpu. That's why career mode is so easy but playing online is tougher. Human opponents are more difficult to beat. If someone calls a double team PASS THE BALL. Somebody is open. This is basketball 101. On top of all this there should be less lag if there's less human players.

The CPU is terrible at rebounding and guarding the cpu is much easier than guarding a human player. CPU is predictable. Especially if it's an nba roster and you know the tendencies of that player.

The only real upside for the 3 and 2 team is that they have less people on the team to worry about and trying to get them their "touches".

Time will tell, maybe they'll keep it capped so it can't be a player rated over 80 or 85 overall etc. Or maybe they'll prioritise matchmaking to try and keep full 5s VS full 5s.

Fact of the matter is this is what Crew was. This is what everyone has been asking for. The true crew heads are ecstatic about this, just ask KSpadeTheProspect.

Doubt I'll be playing the mode now unless it's filled up with 5's. I despise the CPU. Do you play with bots in call of duty or nah

Look man, I'm happy it's in. Sorry you'll miss out on what seems to be a fantastic mode.

I used to. But eventually all these seven foot guards started turning up and it totally ruined the entire thing.

Re: NBA 2K16 2K Pro-AM Interview with Jeff Thomas

I'm primarily a team-up player, and I can say from experience that the CPU was pretty nightmarish in 2K14 ... at least in that mode. But other than a few psychic pass interceptions, the CPU was a lot more balanced in 2K15.

I would much rather play against human opponents, but having to play against the CPU every once in a while isn't a big deal. I know there will be plenty of times when I only have 2-3 other friends online and want to run a game. It's nice to know I'll be able to do so and have the CPU fill in the empty slots.

The thing I worry about with this mode are people getting down 10+ points, and opting to just quit and get into a new game instead of finishing it out. With matchmaking back this year, that temptation to exit out and get into a new game when things aren't going well is going to be a little more prevalent. Hopefully quitters will face some kind of penalty (stat hits, loss, VC deduction, etc) to help curve this. Because again, playing the CPU from time to time is understandable, but we'd all rather be going against human opponents.
