My New Years Resolution a few years ago was to not buy any sports games at release... It didn't work that year and hasn't worked any year ever since because a) I'm usually ready to play the the next sports game when they're released because I'm in a gaming lull and b) I have no self control.

I've never really understand what someone cares how someone else spends their time or money.

For the record, I have a vacation week next week too. I didn't plan it just to play Madden, I actually haven't had a week off since last October and need to take 72 hours before February or I lose it. We are actually going out of town for a few days, but most of it is a "Staycation". Getting in plenty of Madden during that time is icing on the cake... and patch or no patch I still plan on doing so.

This hasn't been my experience at all. In fact, if I wasn't told about the in-game boost I probably would have known. In the two CFM games I played with EA Access I had some players that were boosted over 100 in my first game, but the really didn't seem to play way above their ratings for me. In my second game Drew Brees killed me by throwing for 300+ yards and 5 TD's, yet every time I checked his stats they were never boosted. Honestly, players didn't feel any different that any other Madden that I've played.

I'm actually way more worried about the OL regression bug than I am the drive boost and rookies... mainly because I don't plan on finishing the season before the patch is out and I assume that I'll only have one rookie class that's out of whack.

Thats where i'm at too.

Made myself a promise i was going to start my CFM on release day. Unless there is some major long term repercussion that surfaces, i can live with it.

I have decided that if they can get this all fixed server side before my first regular season game i'm at liberty to reboot (after tonight, i can't guarantee how much game time i'll see until next week anyhow).

Not at all going to concern myself with opening day rosters. I figure these are the players i was dealt, i'll sculpt my team the way i want from that starting point.

The issues we are having now in cfm are caused by this dev team not the old one. Drive goals, oline regression, draft players ratings too high. These issues have nothing to do with the old dev team.

Despite personal feelings about the bugs, everyone should atleast be happy that EA is being upfront with these issues and looking to quickly and aggressively get them taken care of.

I do have one concern. Given that we have seen some of the QA issues with madden 16, I hope that speeding up the patch process doesn't mean that QA suffers. I don't want to see them "rush" a patch that breaks as much as it fixes. It has happened in the past with them waiting "six weeks" to patch things I don't want to see that with this game as it seems like gameplay is taking positive steps.

This is why it is pointless to buy this game at release any year. These things should be expected because they happen EVERY YEAR

holy **** thats unacceptable. i dont do MUT so game is basically unplayable for me. i can deal with one season of overtuned rookies but the confidence bug completely ruins the franchise mode.

time to get that refund.
