I think i have one gripe about passing. Pump fake was changed to the LS. Loved being able to pump fake to a specific receiver in 15. wish they kept that mechanic somehow. Hopefully for madden 17

Its so much fun playing some of these dopes online. They are so use to playing dudes sitting in cover 3 all game that they try amd run verts all game long. I just play 2 man or cover 4 and laugh my way to a w. Then when they try to run cover 3 all game, i just kill them with curls. Either the flat or curl route is going to be open. And you can tell the ones use to this working cause they wont adjust and will stay in cover 3 or switch it up to cover 2. Then i kill them over the middle with post routes.

I'm hugely disappointed. The game looks great and plays better than Madden ever has but the new controls ruin it for me. I've always said that this game needs to be about football knowledge and skills, not stick skills. Once again, the game was made more challenging by upgrading the ai very, very little while complicating the control schemes. I guess since my stick skills suck I'm relegated to coach mode only now.

Not sure that's true. My stick skills aren't great, and I can hold my own just fine.

I like to think I have good stick skills. Maybe a helpful tip. I know who my primary receiver is before the play. Instead of trying to think of what type of throw I'm going to use based on a split second decision, I base it on the route. When I'm running a quick slant or comeback, I usually throw a low pass so my finger is already on L2/LT. When I'm throwing a fade in the end zone i know my finger is going to be on L1/LB. Wheel route i always double tap for touch. For a go route I know Im just going to tap the WR button for a lob pass (also holding up on RS to lead the receiver).

For almost every other route or if I need to go to the second or third receiver I just press the button like I always have. I'm pretty sure that line of thinking is pretty similar to what QBs actually do IRL. On most timing plays, I would think the location of the ball and type of throw is predetermined

Once I got that down, I was able to think quicker and adjust. For example if I see my WR have enough separation on the DB I know I don't need to use the low throw. I think this is the type of stuff that makes this game so much fun to play this year.

Like how i can finally stop on a dime and cut up field without sliding around and the fact that the CPU can pick off bad passes that are overthrown or under thrown. I just saw CPU Brees throw it right pass Colston's hand and my CB happened to be there in the right time to make the sliding pick

I typically do venture out into online randoms just one time a year. Well tonight was that night.

Same old story lol. Guy has Tomlinson and all he does is take the snap and bounce the run outside. Goes into wildcat and runs the option with Tomlinson as "QB". He tried to throw but was like 1-5 with an INT.

I didn't finish the game as I had enough of playing that type of game. Just not for me.
