Re: FIFA 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions

I ordered this game for PS4 after playing the demo and being impressed. I have probably played the last 4 or 5 FIFA games and really liked the feel of the demo. Does the retail game play like the demo or has that been changed via patches or tuners?

I had a hard time deciding between FIFA and NBA 2K16, but overall I prefer soccer over basketball.

Pretty much the same.

All - I need help, I'm trying to get rid of the circle and arrow surrounding a selected player. I heard that FIFA16 got rid of the red triangles, is this the way it is or can I turn this off? I can't find anything that works via the menus.

I'm playing on pro level BTW.

Just click one of the sticks, can't exactly remember wich one is. You can also pause the match, go to settings, select sides and go to controller settings. Its the first option and you should choose "hide".

Got my copy from Amazon. It arrived off the spindle in the case. Loaded okay but during my first game I got a bad disc error and the disc was ejected. So I have to swap the game out and my new copy won't be here for a couple of days. Disappointed to say the least. Have to go through the tutorials to see how the new defensive system works.

Firs, this game is definitely not perfect. Just want to be clear about that. Human CPU teammates still need some work as they tend to back away from loose balls or when the CPU opponent team player is under duress and might lose the ball, instead of coming in to add pressure or dispossess the player, they just hang back.

At any rate, I don't know why but this game seems to get more fun the more I play it. It really has an organic feel to it. Teams really follow instructions and that makes the game even more fun.

I just played an awesome game in my league and won the game 1 to 0. The back and forth passing was amazing. Then I beat a team 4 to 0 in Bundesliga. That was fun because the way I scored goals really showed me that soccer-like thinking is sinking in. I love it when I can see a goal opportunity coming 3 to 4 passes away. One in particular was the timeless classic of passing deep into the box, and with defenders collapsing in on me, an open player makes a run and I back-heel it to him and he scores. That was one of my best goals ever.

Then, one of the best game I ever played in sports video gaming was me as Mexico against Brazil (CPU) in the women's mode. First, the presentation was awesome. I was in Mexico and you could hear drum beats, cheer, instruments (and maybe chants) that one would expect to hear in Mexico. The commentators even mentioned the passion of Spanish fans at a game. Truly awesome!

The game itself was a blast. I scored early to take the lead 1 to 0. Then, Marta (of course) scored to give them the equalizer. It was a beautiful cross that missed the intended target and went to Marta. Lawd! She was unmarked. God help us! Of course, she promptly kicked it in for the score. Then in the 110' of extra time, another player dispossessed one of my defenders in the box! Of course, she scored to give them the lead late. I was pissed. Then, in the 118' of extra time, a beautiful thing happened. With time running low, I was trying to calm myself down and not panic. It didn't help that the commentators were even noting that time was winding down. I passed it and my player had it about 14 yards outside of the box. Their back line was disciplined but the defender to my right started to collapse in on me and the other players to my left stayed in position. This left a hole where the player was coming from to challenge me. Then, the defender in back of me also started to come in. One of my players, however, made a run towards the place vacated by the player. I held the ball as long as I could then under duress sent a through ball to my player breaking towards the empty space. She shrugged off her marker, got it and kicked it in for the score. The place went ballistic - as did I! LOL!

We won in penalty kicks as the computer missed some and I did as well, but the computer missed more than me.

It was a truly great game.

Anyone else having more beautiful moments or enjoying the game more as time proceeds?

Re: FIFA 16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions

Yeah sure! I've been wasting time to test sliders, game modes etc. But despite some flaws, usually the game leaves me with a smile at the end of each session. Currently starting my career mode as Ive already decided the settings to use, and the first two matches were very good. First match against Salerno, I scored 4 goals in the first half!!
Then I changed lots of players for the second half and played more confident, while salerno tried harder to get a goal. They managed to get me by surprise on a good momentum and scored 3 goals!! Finaly, in one last play, my team scored the final goal to end a 5-3 thrilling match.

Later, BK Hacken. Diferent team, totally diferent game. They played a 4-3-3 and were all over me through the whole match. Very dificult one, as they pressed me high on the field and scored first. I managed to score what seemed to be the first goal of the comeback, but they ended my hopes when they caught me on a 2nd goal. Final result, 2-1. So much variety and good stuff happening, I really felt the diference in those two teams!

Indeed, team differences do matter this year.
