I remember when closed roofs not being in was all the rage. Now it's graphics and player models. Which aren't even half as bad as ppl are making them out to be.

My tldr cause i deleted my post version is.

Everything in that trailer was a large community wish. Also there is a reason DD is getting content updates in December. Franchise and rtts aren't the only modes with die hard fans.

Also - there isn't much to put content out for in December for Franchise/RTTS. At some point you need to put all of your development to 17 for modes like that.

Content in DD are cards. Not new game modes or gameplay issues - cards. Doesn't take much outside of card art and face (which they have most of already, nothing to create).

Your definitely right, cards aren't huge resources, so maybe that isn't as big of a deal. I don't remember if they went this late last year.

You've made a point I was going to make, it sounds to me like retro mode might be this years attempt at shortening the time taken to play a full nine inning game of baseball. I have no idea, it's just a guess but seems feesible to me.

That 1 minute trailer has certainly caused a stir. When you have something to reveal 3 months out from release, you come with your best shot., I would think. To me it looks like MLB 17 will be a more refined version of its former self. That's not a bad thing for the game is pretty darn good! But in this day with gaming titles pushing realism to the edge, I think we deserve better than incremental updates from year to year. In fact, because we've been so loyal, I believe we have the right to voice our opinions and try to PUSH SCEA towards the next gen game we know/believe they can produce. That's all this is.
