I'll probably be sticking with '16 for a while unless things like presentation and franchise mode are heavily updated. I think franchise mode has been virtually untouched since MLB 12 or 13.

They used it when they were gonna do an hour or so long twitch stream and not just a 5 minute video about the topic. A more in depth look into the mode or feature

So I would say we have around 4 weeks or so until info starts flowing in.

For a die hard MLB The Show fan This is always the best time of the year because we are so close to hearing about all the new goodies but at the same time these few weeks also seem to last forever lol

Here is last years schedule for reference.
Ramone gave this post a thumbs up, so I'd say you're on to something

Give the online franchise community some love! Mode could be so great with some more additions.

I understand what you are saying but I have to disagree. The best time of the year more is when I can buy the game and put the disc in my ps4.

Russell does as good a job as anybody when it comes to promoting the game. Ideally demand for the game reaches a crescendo on release day.

I agree. Show-wise, Decembe to March is the hardest time of the year for me. While I will still be enjoying the current Show, looking forward to release day and the slow trickle of news is almost too much to bear.

Essentially, this is me:
