New Yankee Stadium didn't look much different than Old Yankee Stadium.

This stadium though, is different.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I wish the Braves made Suntrust's jumboton look different, but it's current appearance may be their intention as a nod to Turner.
Not a Braves fan myself (far from it lol) but I too am not very impressed by the Braves moving out of a former Olympic stadium after just two decades. I'm also a city guy and feel that ballparks work best in an urban setting so the move out to the suburbs rubs me the wrong way too. I'd have preferred they spruced up Turner and made an effort to take part in improving the surrounding blocks (apparently that element has been singled out for having depressed turnout).

All that said, the new park doesn't look bad in these latest reveals. I was extremely underwhelmed by the first set of designs shown to the public though so maybe it's just a matter of exceeding lowered expectations. Still, the Show video and actual photos I've seen make it look somewhat intimate, I like how they've used red brick inside (reminds be a bit of Comerica) and they did a good job of simulating an urban backdrop by the developing the area beyond the outfield. I'm looking forward to playing in it.

Bolded for truth. The Ted was in a pretty rough part of town. There were only 2 hotel options within "safe" walking distance from the stadium and they were both pretty horrible (I stayed in both). Still better than trying to fight traffic though.

I'm glad they moved looks like it'll be much nicer. Brand new Omni hotel going in with a bunch of good places to eat. I'm excited to make the trip down from Charlotte now.

The traffic situation probably will not be any better at the new location..In some ways it may be worse..I lived in Atlanta for 10 years and never really had troubles getting to Turner Field..The neighborhood around it may be shady, but the stadium itself could have been updated

The new stadium is directly across the interstate from The Weather Channel's headquarters. Prepare the inevitable references to this when the stadium experiences its first rainout.

Overall, I like the use of brick throughout the stadium, something that was mostly lacking from Turner Field. The new stadium is a lot more polished than the Olympic stadium that the Braves inherited in the 90s.

It's hard to believe MLB has gone a full 5 years since the last new stadium being built, especially considering how many new stadiums debuted over the past two decades. Really only Oakland and Tampa Bay remain has teams that should get new stadiums, but can't due to political/budget reasons.

Excellent job by the SDS team. Look fantastic. As a Yankee fan, I may have to consider a Braves franchise now Or, at the very least, play my first game of '17 Yankees @ Braves.

The Stadium looks great, reminds me of a mix between Turner, Nationals Park and Target Field. The warning track color and infield dirt always seems off color but other than that looks great.

Are you from Atlanta? Well I am, born & raised. I'm 43 years old & to my knowledge no one ever get killed, raped or etc. Mostly people fell to their death because intoxicated. Turner Field, The Olympic's, Atlanta Falcon's all used that part of town proudly for many of decades.

I like new things.Maybe my hometown can be sold to an individual, instead of a media group.
