MLB The Show 17 Patch 1.05 Available Now, Patch Notes Included

Did they fix the chipper jones mission? Did they fix the players eyes? Did they fix the DD record? I've been 2-0 since launch day.

With the patch release note not mentioning the issue and I haven't gotten in enough games to see if it has been (secretly) touched, but the wild pitch issue, as has been discussed in the following thread

Purely from the game results perspective, there is definitely an inflation of wild pitches in the game. I have been consistently seeing about a factor of 2 - 3 more wild pitches than what's expected from the MLB average, with Pitcher Consistency slider at 4 - 5 in CPU vs. CPU games.

So I cannot agree with an assessment that an inflation of wild pitches not being an issue...

It is also also an issue when playing against HUM (say online), because it's just too risky to throw breaking pitches low with catchers not being able to gracefully handle them.

Of course we want the devs to fix it effectively, meaning not to eliminate them entirely, and I'd like to think that's why it's taking longer than other, easier fixes. My suggestion would be to not try to touch baserunning and/or catcher fielding aspect, but simply make catcher handle pitches in the dirt very cleanly (meaning don't drop it anywhere at all) more often, as it was in MLB 16. I still think that's the least intrusive way to tone down the overall wild pitch frequency.

Nothing like a good ol' fashion hard freeze after the patch.
And it's ALWAYS when I'm doing good. 6-0 in the 2nd, homered 3 or 4 times with my key players.

I am playing with my Pitcher Accuracy and Consistency both set at one.

I am wondering if the passed ball/wild pitch propensity is being enhanced due to my pitcher's settings being set low?

But if I set my settings higher, my guys would be too accurate.

I wonder if a happy medium should be tested?
