Re: The Madden NFL 18 Hype Train is Ready to Begin...

Just hoping to see something that makes me want to play this game. It just hasn't captured the essence of football for years.

Hopefully they are re-doing Franchise mode.
After playing NBA 2K, this game's franchise mode with everything combined is such a mess to me. It needs to be a separate mode from My player and they need to have options to customize things.

While I have no inside knowledge I'd say based on EA's track record its unlikely they will do much to franchise mode.

Last year was promoted as a "revamped" CFM mode and they typically do not focus on a single area in back to back years. I could be wrong and hope I am cause there are a lot of areas CFM could improve.

Authentic introductions for every team. Ability to create and edit player equipment like NBA 2k. A true tv broadcast camera angle. A more dynamic passing game . Better half time presentation. More dynamic weather changes throughout the game. Not have every player for every position have the same stance and running motion.
Focus on the game first
All THIS!!!

You have to be cautious with innovation when it comes to Madden. That could very well mean it will have features that have been in other sports games for years and usually its not done as well as it is in those other games. I have a feeling they are going to focus on a MyPlayer type mode before they get Franchise mode to where it needs to be.
