Minnesota. I'm hooked on this game. I'd love to see a current gen version but it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon.

Re: I finally won the national championship in this game

how many seasons did it take?

I have never one a title. Ive made it to the finals once and lost, Benn to the final four. a few times. This is on any version of Ch2k8.

That's the beauty ofnthe game . if you play with lower tiered or mid major school its hard to a win title. Never played with a traditional powerhouse team.

How is the gameplay in that game? Is it playable in light of modern gameplay? Or do you just sim the games?

I'm biased, but it's totally playable. It's a different beast, but it holds up well and there's a whole discord community that provides tips, sliders, etc.

I switch between this and modern NBA 2Ks just fine. They are very different games, but I don't mind the switch.

The game is available for Xbox 360 and PS3. Though you can play it on the rpcs3 emulator. It's hard to get your hands on a physical copy for less than $150.

I would learn more by reading about it on Wikipedia and watching YouTube videos. There are also some folks playing it still in the OS Dynasty section.

I played for many years with lower level teams most recently Northern Iowa where I ran the table in the regular season and conference tournament to the point where it was boring. I switched to Minnesota to get some challenging conference games and won the national championship in my second season after missing the tournament in my first season.

Beat 3 #1 seeds Georgetown, UCLA and Duke. I was fortunate to win Georgetown. Inbounded the ball with less than 10 seconds left, threw it up court to my center to drove to the basket and was fouled. Made both free throws. Played them this season in the non-conference schedule and lost.

I don't play any NBA games but I like the gameplay. The key for me is power forwards and 7'0 centers. I play every game. No simming. If you get the game play the ABL games to scout prospects. That's where you find the top recruits.
