Madden 25 Simulation Stats

How are we feeling about simulation stats so far? I’ve done a few preliminary tests to get a gauge of where it’s at and here are some of my findings

-QBs barely miss games with base roster (might lower injury ratings for players to see if that makes any difference in franchise)

-QB rushing yards is fine overall (200-400 for most QBs) and still playbook based for higher totals (600-800 yards with 100+ attempts)

**Bears playbook is unchanged, so you should probably switch it to something else (maybe Seattle?) if you don’t want Caleb to run 150+ times**

-Passing yards is a touch too low when accounting for everyone playing 17 games. I was noticing around 3-6 4000 yard passers. The only consistent player who got over 4k was Mahomes, so I’m not sure how much it’s tied to ratings/playbook

-TDs seem fine to me. I was getting about 8-12 30+ TD seasons and about 20-25 20+ seasons which is a decent amount especially when accounting for me adding more injuries/benching players.

With QBs, my biggest issue is the efficiency. I think interceptions are a little better than last year, but there are still a few players with less than 5. Tua and Purdy feel like they consistently do this. I’m seeing more 10+ though which is good. Accuracy is still high. Too many QBs with a 100+ passer rating.

-Running backs seem fine to me. Wish there were less 1000 yard seasons. I’m getting about 12-17. Tds seem ok, but probably a bit high overall

-Still a lack of receiving production. Most RBs get less than 400 yards receiving. Honestly, I would feel better about this if there were at least one playbook that increased receiving production for backs

-Receivers seem ok. Number of 1k seasons seemed about right. The biggest issue with receivers is the lack of standout years. Top receiver usually floats around 1300-1500 yards with the rest under 1.2k. Tds seem good from what I saw

-Sacks seem good. Did 4 year one simulations and no one broke the record. In fact, I believe only a few times someone got over 20 sacks

-Tackles are a bit low. Around 130-150 for top tackler

-Interceptions are good. Usually seeing 5-7 ints for top ball hawk with one season a player getting 10 which was cool.

-Kicking stats are decent now?? I’m seeing a few kickers with over 30 attempts and most teams have over 20 attempts. I could be wrong, but this feels way more than in years past. I deleted M24, so I can’t confirm it.

Didn’t look too much into other things like punting or return stats. I mostly stuck with what I care about.

My overall opinion is that they are fine overall. I think this is a solid base to work with. I will still need to do my weekly game inspections as I’ve done the past few years to monitor stats throughout the season and make adjustments if needed.

The low passing yards irritates me. It's a passing league. That should at least be a little accurate. What's weird is completion percentages are still high but passing yards still low

Little seems changed in the sim engine in regards to who does well and why.

I lowered Brock purdys passing attributes (the accuracies, throw power, throw on run) to 75, which brought him to a 64 overall. I put his sense of pressure to ideal. He was second in the league in Td Passes with 31 and I went 13-4.

Does changing the sense pressure trait affect sim stats in any way?

I really hope they look at Sim stats, in 2024 there is no reason for the passing yards to be so off.

Re: Madden 25 Simulation Stats

Receiver stats are too low, I simmed one season and copper kupp was the only Receiver to go over 100 reception with 122, second most was 98 I think. 12 had over 100 reception last years. Plus he led the league with 80 yards per game, which is really low. He would of been 11 in the NFL last years with that total.

Also rb don't get enough receptions, McCaffrey would get like one catch a game.

Btw, I only simmed this one season

Re: Madden 25 Simulation Stats

It’s the same as last year it’s playbook tied as it was last year no significant changes.

Bears, Eagles and Ravens are QB rushing stats

KC Dallas are the pass heavy offenses

Rams is still feeding the one WR like they did with Kupp 2020-21

KC has a playbook where RB get over 40-60 receptions and TEs ball out in the system (Kelce)

Also don’t forget for sim purposes the SLWR get all the targets so when simming put WR1 there and just alternate every 3rd week with WR2 and should get close to realistic numbers.

Hopefully with a patch they can add it new playbooks that reflect the changes.

Re: Madden 25 Simulation Stats

Do you know if EA uses to patches his sim engine?
I've been out of Madden for some years, I can't tell, but yes, this year the passing yards are very low. I saw that in sim games there are an average of 110 plays per game and often, it's like there are a dozen of passing plays missing (while the CPU only passes in gameplay lol).
