I am looking to fill up the remainder of my cross-platform, 16 team league on Madden 25. We are trying to start next week (8/23) but if you find this later, we may still be interested in adding more users or forming a waitlist.
Here is our ruleset and guidelines. The intention is for this to be a competitive sim-league that runs beyond the Super Bowl.
GENERAL SETUPS:
All Madden Difficulty, Simulation style gameplay, Cross Platform League
8 min quarters, 25 sec acc clock
16 user teams, default rosters
All users in the same conference
Teams will be determined by using a randomized order for a team draft where each user picks one AFC and one NFC team. Then all users vote on which conference they would like to use
All users must be in the same conference, All CPU teams are in the opposite conference
Users may swap teams before entering the league
Every user will have 12 H2H and 5 CPU games in each regular season
All users must create a new coach
Coach firing and Career clock are both set to off
Staff Talent Cost is set to “Slowest”
Advances will occur 3 times per week
Mon, Wed, Sat around 11 am eastern
Relaxed around holidays or if the majority of games remain unplayed
Advances will be less strict in the playoffs
No playoff games involving users will be simulated
Daily advances in the offseason

GAMEPLAY:
Every single BXL game is required to be streamed into the discord, live on Twitch, YouTube Live or some other streaming platform.
Users must announce when they are playing their game for others to watch
The admins will make slider adjustments to lean more defensive than default
All penalties are set to default but “Roughing the Kicker” is turned off
Defensive play call cooldown is set to 8, play call limit is set to 5
Offensive play call cooldown is set to 10, play call limit is set to 2
Custom playbooks are allowed
4th Down rule:
You can’t go for it on 4th down if you are up by more than 8, unless it is the 4th quarter
This rule does not apply in the playoffs
Home Field Advantage is off
Missed games will be simulated with the user auto losing
If you know you’re leaving for a vacation or will be away for multiple days, let admins know so any CPU games you could miss can instead be fair simulated
Missed H2H will be fair simulated unless an admin is notified before advance
CHEESING: 🧀
Restarting any game is not allowed
A random player on your team will be nerfed if your schedule lists you as playing a game twice without a valid excuse and/or proof
If admins think you may be cheesing plays/play types/concepts/blitzes/glitch exploits/etc., they may consider your removal from the league. THIS IS THE ONLY WARNING!
Extreme scores will force admins to consider your removal from the league
There is a random player nerfing penalty for scoring more than 50 points and winning by more than 16. This is referred to as the “50/16 Rule”
Breaking or tying individual game or season long records will cause the player(s) who broke them to be nerfed (-10 all attributes) and reset to normal dev immediately
You can find these records in the game on the “NFL Records” screen
The excuse “I didn’t know that was a record” will be ignored
Users can only edit players in the preseason
There is no limit to what position you can change players to in this stage
The penalty for editing a player outside of the preseason will be -2 to all attributes and -10 to his injury and fatigue ratings
Players on CPU teams may have their positions adjusted by admins in the preseason to hopefully help bolster their usage and performances
If there is something on a player YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT, you may request for an admin to make quick edits to a player
ROSTER MANAGEMENT:
Salary Cap is on
Injuries:
Practice injuries are on, Pre-existing injuries are off
Progressive fatigue is off
Injuries will be turned off in every preseason
IRON MAN:
During the preseason of every season, each user will be given an opportunity to boost one of their players to max out their Stamina, Toughness and Injury ratings for the life of the league
The selected player cannot be a QB
The selected player cannot be on his rookie contract
His contract will become fully guaranteed after being selected
All users must keep 3 QBs on their active roster
Trade Deadline is on but is pushed back to Week 10
Trade Difficulty set to “Normal”
All trades offered to the CPU must be approved by majority vote using the polls feature in discord
Any player who you offer in a trade must be listed “On the Block” in game, “On the Block” on NeonSportz or “OTB” in the #trade-talks channel
You cannot submit an offer where you are trading for OR trading away a 1st round draft pick
The only exception is trading up/down in the 1st but you cannot trade away or acquire an uneven amount of 1st round picks
Trades that are negotiated between two users do not need to be voted on for confirmation
Rookies may not be traded in any circumstance
Draft picks more than two years in the future cannot be traded
Players whose contracts have been restructured at any point since the league began are ineligible to be traded to CPU teams
Free Agency:
FA motivation is set to “high”
Unlimited in the first round, 10 in the second, 10 in the final
Practice squad stealing is on
XP sliders are based on MrHurriicane’s with some adjustments

DRAFT SETUP & PROCESS:
There will always be a live discord call for the draft
We will move slowly and even pause for user picks in the first two rounds to ensure everyone in the call has time to make their early selections
For rounds 3-7, the draft will have a running clock
The admins will also create a draft recap sheet that is shared before the draft and is updated throughout the event
Draft classes will always be auto generated with some slider adjustments:
Draft sliders will be set to “Weak” for most positions
Kickers & Punters will always be “Very Weak”
One position group will be listed as “Strong” and one will be “Normal”
This will be determined by a vote and then announced in the discord prior to each season
There will be an “Undrafted Rookie Draft” that occurs after the NFL Draft in game
The order for this UDFA Draft will be determined and announced before the NFL Draft begins. The order is sorted in order of lowest to highest team overall.
The players selected in this draft will have their contract values edited based on their positions. All players will be given a 3 year contract that is fully guaranteed.
QB - $3M
HB/WR/TE/DB - $2M
Every other position - $1M
Any players who are not selected in the UDFA Draft can be signed by any user, on a first come-first serve basis
There will be an @everyone notification announcing who was selected in the UDFA Draft and when FA opens for everyone
MANUAL DEVELOPMENT TRAIT ADJUSTMENTS & SUPERSTAR ABILITIES:
Every player’s dev traits will be reset to “Normal” prior to beginning the league
Breakout scenarios are turned off but there will be manual adjustments done by admins based on voting by the entire league
There will be about 80 total players who will receive dev upgrades with the following process each season
OL will never be manually upgraded to X-Factor. K/P will never manually be upgraded to Superstar
Dev trait upgrades will be awarded weekly
Voting opens directly after advance, then will close at the next advance
Eligible players include those who won a POTW award
1 dev up for an AFC team and 1 dev up for a NFC team
If the voting is tied, there will be a wheel spin to determine who receives the dev upgrade
No player will be awarded two dev ups in the same regular season
The player who wins the vote will be announced and awarded a dev around advance
Hidden rookies are ineligible for upgrades until their dev trait is revealed
A player on every playoff winning team will receive a dev up
No player will ever be awarded two dev ups in the same playoffs
Madden will usually give players who win conference awards a dev up and the entire league will also vote on some of their own awards for dev ups
These will include: “Best TE”, “Iron Man OL”, “Best P”, “Best Returner”, “Best Offensive Player 30+ Years Old” and “Best Defensive Player 30+ Years Old”
Players participating in the Pro Bowl will also have an opportunity for a dev up
Dev Trait Regression is OFF but…
There is a maximum for X-Factors per team (3) and Superstars per team (5)
There will be a wheel to determine which player gets regressed at the end of the preseason for any teams that have more than these caps
Superstar Abilities are uneditable. They will be assigned and then updated by the admins based on each player’s overalls and archetypes.
