I play CPU vs CPU, and have never seen a FG blocked, and its been a few years since I've seen a punt blocked. Was wondering if anyone has ever seen the CPU block a kick...

I've heard some people say that turning off roughing the kicker allows for the CPU to block kicks. Any thoughts?

Prior to the last patch, I had the CPU in the same game against me block a FG and return a kickoff for a TD. First time in Madden 25. I had just recently turned off roughing and running into the kicker penalties. This was all-pro in play now. I can’t recall what speed threshold was as I’ve tested it all over the place, but I want to say it was 30. I’ve blocked a few FG’s and punts vs the CPU but IIRC that was with lower speed threshold too which seems to open up more splash plays. Can’t say for sure post patch though.

Punt yes, fg no.

I've seen plenty punts blocked.

I don't remember what team was, but cpu bloqued me a FG in a franchise mode game.

I've seen it with the old kicking meter. I have not seen it using the new one. Not sure if this applies to CPU vs CPU though.

I’ve never had the computer block any of my punts but, I have had extra points and field goals blocked before.

I haven't. I don't care to see it in the game if it's like it has been in the past. You can tell when the game is going to allow a blocked kick because the animations are different and slower. Feels cheap

Not just a block, but a block that happened more naturally through the middle. Don't think I've ever seen that.
