Contract extension structure
I know we lost the ability to front or backload a contract in the new Free Agency, but did we also lose that ability in extensions? In a quick sim sample last night, I went to offer Bryan Woo (1+ years of service time) an extension and the option to front/backload was not available.
That would really stink, a lot of FA deals include front/backloading deals, but zero long term extension for pre-arb guys have an evenly distributed salary.
