RB Question

I have a RB with speed 97 and acceleration 96 stats wise, but when I actually play the game he is slower than my other RB with 90 speed and 88 acceleration. By slow, I mean he'll have a wide open hole on an outside run and looks like he's carrying two pianos and an anvil on his back.

Does this have to do with playbook knowledge? The fast RB still is learning the offense...or does it maybe have to do with my philosophy? I have balanced RB philosophy.

Re: RB Question

Could be fatigue or health. If the 97 guy is tired of has really low health, he won't be as effective.

Yes, fatigue plays a huge role. Press X instead of A on the play you call and it brings up a screen where you can easily sub people in and out.

Re: RB Question

nope its not fatigue. just checked it put him in and he's still slow. know anything else that is could be?

Odd thing is, I use him as my 4th WR for a couple of plays, and he burns the corner/linebacker who's on him every time. Even on swing passes he runs fast, but running the ball in space hes really slow.

I'm thinking about just trading him. Is this a glitch?

I have Darren McFadden and once he is in open field, he cannot be caught from behind, most of the time. The only exception is toss plays, where he can be caught from behind for reasons I don't know. I am thinking an artificial "speed limit" is placed on RBs close to the LoS.

Oh I have to disagree with that. I have Ozzie Jones and he is CONSTANTLY being caught from behind which is an odd occurance since he has 99 Speed, Acceleration and Agility.... plus, I have speed training on my HC, OC and RBC.... so how in the world does every slow *** defender catch him from behind? And he seems to be quicker at the LoS when he first gets free but 5 yards later, he is running in sludge or something

Re: RB Question

I had that experience with ozzie jones as well and also, he tends to run backwards frequently thus getting a loss of yardage that is why I ended up trading him .. I like boar jackson better, his trucking is awesome

Re: RB Question

I might trade Leron James. He hasn't been performing well at all. He's currently 91 OVR with 95 POT, but doesn't burst or anything and even in the open field he gets caught ALOT from behind.
