RICHARDSON DRAFTED BY ANGELS!
Article Written By: Dan Schuman {Not My Name}

Los Angeles, California: Today at aprroximately 1:35 pm, with the 15th pick in the second round, the Los Angeles Angels selected Matt Richardson, the big, power hittting 1st baseman from Boyer Heights High School in the metropolitan Milwuakee area. This was somewhat suprising, as many predicted that the Angels would look for an outfielder in the draft. But, Richardson is a very promising young talent. He's a big,buff, 232 pound power hitting left-hander straight out of high school. While he is young, he shows tremndous power, is an absolute RBI machine, and can be a team leader. If he would have went to college for a couple of years and then went into the draft, he would have been a sure first round pick. But, teams backed away because he was a raw talent straight out of high school. The Angels realized they may not be able to get him in a couple of years, and, after trading their 3 and 4th round picks for a second round pick, they could take an outfielder later in the second round. We've talked to Angels officals, and they all said that Richardson will be in Major League spring camp come February. More on Richardson will be for sure coming later on in the week.

RICHARDSON HAS A ROUGH SPRING DEBUT

Temple Diablo Stadium,Tuscon,Arizona: Alright, spring games are finally here! Okay, well, that was about all the good news that Matt Richardson got all day vs the Chicago Whitesox. In 4 trips to the plate, Richardson was 0-4 with three grounders and a strikeout. On the plus side, he made every defensive play he could, with over 6 putouts. Hopefully he'll do better tommorow, but we project him to start the season at AA Little Rock as the starting 1st Baseman, which is pretty good for a 1B fresh out of high school with no A-Ball experience.

Update: As the second day off spring training games has gone bye, the story stays the same for Richardson, as he went 0-3 with two grounders and a strikeout agains Oakland.

RICHARDSON TINKERS WITH SWING TO GET RESULTS

Tuscon, Arizona: We have recently talked to Richardson and seen him take batting practice, and it is apparent that he has tinkered with he swing. He went from a swing reminescent of Adam Lind to one more reminind of Omar Infante.

There isn't any trading picks in baseball.

Yeah my error Cubs fan. And Darkleaf, im pretty sure it didn't tell me what round or pick I was. But I hope next year they have a couple of "tryout" time things or College Games {with fake colleges of course} like NCAA to try to project where you will go.
