Player progression issue

First up, I just want to say that this is a quality game, and I'm really enjoying it.

However, I have encountered a problem. After my first season in dynasty mode, two of my players had their overall go up by 1 point (e.g., 89 up to 90). Following this, I went and signed a couple of free agents and saved my dynasty and exited. When I reloaded my dynasty the next day, those two players had their overall down to where it was previously (e.g., it went from 89 to 90, then when I reloaded it went back to 89).

Is this a known issue? And if so, is there any way to fix it?
