Even though I'm not a goalie I always had a "thing" for goalie masks.

mike richter's was pretty cool, but that could just me being biased.

lalime's helmet is pretty much based directly on Richeters, but instead of it being lady liberty, it's the Marvin the Martian, which i actually think is pretty cool, lol.

Currently, I'd say it's either Turco's Masks (notice the S, lol, hes got a sick one for home and an even sicker one for away) and Stephen Valiquette;s, although that could just be me being biased again.

Also, Anterro Nittymakki's (sp?) is pretty cool, with "Nitty" the famous mobster on the sides.

Some i don't like:

Timmy Thomas...I love how the cage is completely different, but don't like the overall look. Same goes for Tobias Stephan, who also uses "The Mage" which is the name of that model, made by Sportsmask, I believe...

Henrik Lundqvist...I LOVE the model! I think he got it made custom to him, and the shape of it looks so cool! I want that one, or the Rbk that Giggy uses...it's also got a really cool shape. But I'm not a big fan of Lundqe's designs, especially bc it's just esentially the logo pasted on a glittery background.

Um, I'm sure I'll think of more, but I also hate Miikka Kiprusoff's. I liked his old one, which i believe is used in NHL 09, but the newer one, which is just basically plain white and red, is downright disgusting.


I somewhat like Nabokov's and of course, you've got to love Luo's helmet, with the angry whaler. Pretty awesome.

Also on the top of my list is definitely Ryan Miller, Marc Andre FLeury (I LOVE how he has some igloo blocks as the background for it!!!).

That's about all I can think of, for right now, at least.

Also, I loved Felix Potvin's helmets, with those gash things, whatever they were supposed to be, haha.

ADDITION: HOW COULD I FORGET CUJO'S???

I'm cheating because this is long before the era of goalie helmets though I think someone paid homage to this guy and wore a modern day helmet with the design.

LOL that is a good one.I really like it because it reflected how much goalies NEEDED face protection, not alot of people know this but every stitch on that mask stands for one puck to the face of Cheevers. and your right i cant remember who but someone did pay homage to him. anyways the title of this thread was SUPPOSED to be best all time goalie MASKS. LOL that still counts
