So the sliders don't work, what now?

Remember last year when they said that the sliders haven't been investigated. In fact some or all of the development team didn't even know what impact, if any that they had.

I though for sure that slider effectiveness would be addressed.

Well it hasn't. We know for sure that the O-line and D-line passblock/pass rush sliders do not work. So you really can't trust any of them.

Buyer Beware. If you buy this game at this point, you know what you are in for. Months of insanity. You'll want to touch the sliders, but its going to be all placebo most likely. A waste of time and an excercise in frustration. If things are staus quo from last year, about the only slider that will be worth anything is the RB ability slider and thats just because it effects speed. But I bet if you touch the defensive awareness and QB accuracy sliders, yoyu'll be opening the same can of worms as last year.

So will I get this game...most likely. But I'm in no hurry. ANd I sure won't be spending weeks trying to get the sliders to fix flaws.

I honestly could not care less about the $60. Its the wasting time on trying to fix an unfixable game with broken sliders that kills me. Very frustrating.

maybe they are not working in the Beta version. Maybe they are not working AI vs. AI Maybe some work and some dont. I think after you get the game in your hand(and since you do sliders all the time) you can run some more tests to see whats the exact problem.

But from the one video it do look like they are broken

Well, glad your glass is half full.

The game will still provide $60 of entertainment to me based on online dynasty alone. I'm just disaapointed that it appears that the same slider problems that existed last year are not addressed. I foolishly spent hours and hours trying to tweak broken sliders last year. I guess I should be grateful that I know better going into this year.

I know it said every year thats the sad part.

I believe its broke now but maybe not all the way broke many some sliders may work and some may not.

Also Fist you know you're the slider guy i never even touch them or test them I was just trying to show some optimistic like when a couple of years ago you discovered that they were backwards.(i dont think thats the case this time)

I've got to touch them though so guys like you don't win every game 176-3.

I'll download the demo. Play some games and take notes on what I think needs fixed. Then when I get the game, I'll see if the build is still the same which I think it will be. Play a few games at default, see what's up and then try to make a few adjustments. If they work, great, if not I'll just play default and focus on the on-line dynasty. Thats about all you can do.

What incentive is there to fix this kind of crap unless sales drop? I may still get this game, simply because I love college football. However, I'll be damned if EA gets credit for a unit sold from me though. I'll be buying it used on principal, even if Gamestop is a ripoff.
