Angry Punters as the FG holders. Authenticity?

Why is the backup QB still being used as the holder on FGs/ExtraPoint attempts?

I know that for the Raiders, Shane Lechler the punter is the one who always holds the snap but I saw a video where Jeff Garcia was the holder.

I thought authenticity was taken into account in this year's Madden?
But why hasn't this been addressed?

omg people who cares who's holding the ball. some teams use back up QB's some use punters. its not like the holder is going to fumble the snap. chill out

Thanks for the insight.

Anyways, it is a bit annoying that we still don't have the option to change who holds the ball. I think in most cases right now it is the punter that does the holding (real life). It seems like it would be an easy fix just to let us choose the holder in the depth chart. It would be no different than choosing our long snapper.

Live and let live, man.. Some people care wbout things that you clearly don't. Are you right? Sure. Is he right? Sure. Just because you don't care doesn't mean that no one should...

I would prefer to see the real holders in there, personally.

Because, in theory, a team that uses the backup QB as a holder can potentially run a fake FG play while a team with the Punter can't.

Unless, of course, you're the Philadelphia Eagles, and your punter is Sav Rocca.

As long as there isn't some kind of holding rating, I don't really care who holds the ball on field goals as long as its a clean hold each time.
Still would be cool though to have implemented.

+1.
This is the sort of minor glitch that annoys me far more than the "he's got the wrong mouth guard!" issues. Simple fix for it is a depth chart for holder. Wait a minute, why DON'T we have a depth chart for that?
