Think we'll see pricing similar to NBA 2K10?

After NBA 2K10 sold a certain number of units, the price of the game dropped to $39.99. Do you think we'll see something similar with MLB after they sell a pre-determined number of copies?

It'll drop eventually, as all games do, but who knows how long that'll be.

I know price is more determined by console than developer but I would love to see VC/2K take the approach of a discounted price to get gamers back on board after last year's disaster. Just a sign of appreciation or something.

Yeah, exactly. Since they are celebrating their 10-year anniversary, it'd be a nice nod to the consumer for sticking with them by offering up a price drop earlier than most would expect. I think they did the same thing for NHL 2K10, too, so we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled.

Isn't the starting price of MLB only $29.99? That's pretty good if you ask me.

Pretty sure that's the PC version. The other ones are 59.99

I keep forgetting this is for all consoles and not just the PC version
I no longer have a 360 so this is my only option. But in regards to the original question. The price usually drops for sports games when the season is half way through, but as we said, there should be some incentive to make the game cheaper after last year. I know many people are on the fence about this game and making it cheaper would be one of many ways in which they could get people back to 2k's games.

Re: Think we'll see pricing similar to NBA 2K10?

There will probably be some $49.99 temporary drops just like every other games that drop within the last year. Everything from NBA 2K, Mass Effect 2, Modern Warfare 2, Madden, Live, Tony Hawk Ride, DJ Hero were all on sale within 60 days of release.

But a permanent drop, wont happen until all-star break. Can you believe Mass Effect 2 was $45.00 at Buy.com 2 days after release (sold out same day).

CAG is your friend. Also when the game pops up on ebgames.com used ($55.99) you can use the 16% off + 10% edge discount.
