College Hoops in the future

2k needs to make game with all the animations they had back on espn college hoops 2k4, they had every dunk you could think of plus they had tons of different layups you could literally take the ball behind you back and layup. Come on why do games take a step back I mean 2k8 was a good game far as legacy and everything but they lack animations the same dunk over and over again. 2k8 basically had no dunk animations you couldn't even do a windmill on 2k8, actually they did have just one a running willmill that andre iguodala does. 2k4 had tons of non flashy dunks and flashy dunks they had actually college like dunks hanging on the rim with power two-handed jams. The presentation was also at its best. 2k4 had a dunk contest.
In legacy mode you could actually play multiple state allstar games and high school games during the season. 2k8 had aau which was cool but you have to play all the games in the beginning of the season.
Everyone has their own oppinion but to me espn college hoops 2k4 was my favorite game. 2k7 was second favorite because they bought a couple of animations back.

Animations don't make the game for me. 2k4 was too cartoony sometimes w/ the animations, 2k8 is more realistic b/c not everyone in college is doing windmill jams and stuff, you have to realize that.

I could care less about the animations. 2k8 does the gameplay well and the legacy mode is the best. Agree to disagree I guess.

I loved the dunks in 2K4, not just the animations but with the rim snapping down too. No idea why that was removed from 2K5 onward.

Re: College Hoops in the future

I see what you are saying. Back on ps2 they had CRAZY animations but I remember the crossover auto-blow-by animation it was cheap and kinda cheezy just like 2k7's user 1-2-1-1 press.

It would be nice to at least have the extra dunks because I can say that my first 3 years in legacy all I saw was the simple two hand jam. I know not everyone can dunk but they can always switch it up on a open court break. seems like there are only 12-15 different running dunks.
