What does data download failed and how to fix?

So I get "Download Failure: The data download has failed. This game will not count towards your school."

What does this mean, and how do you fix it to where it will save the stats and everything?

I'm getting it too... I'm sure someone here will have an answer.

There was a actually a thread about this and it's the season showdown thing that's not working because of their servers.

So it's on their end and not ours? And I guess when they have it fixed, it will work right? Sorry for posting another thread about.

I actually put up a thread about this, and I can't seem to find my own thread in here lol but anyway. Someone replied and said something about the servers. This happens to me on my dynasty (offline) and I thought the servers had not nothing to do with an offline dynasty. Aren't the servers for when you get online?? That's what I'm confused by. So I guess my question is what does this problem affect. It sounds like it can be fixed by a patch then again most problems can. Any help explaining this to me would be appreciated. By the way, I can't even start a dynasty yet because I have no idea how this will affect it. I would hate to start one and then have to start over.

One of the menus in the game has EA News or something like that. I you check it out, the only news story posted from EA explains that they found a glitch in the campus showdown so they had to deactivate this feature from their servers. Once they fix the glitch, they'll turn the feature back on. The message goes on to say to ignore those error messages you're getting.

I still dont understand i will wait for a patch to start my dynasty. On to The Show to finish my franchise.

So it won't affect stuff on dynasty mode and the stats that's put on your profile - or is that the part it won't save?
