Dealing with a blowout.

Ok we all have those games where we are getting hit left and right and it happens way to early in the game. Last week I was getting torn apart by another team I can't remember who it was, but I gave up 6 runs in the first two innings. So I ended up fast forwarding the game to the end. I felt that this is was bit cheap because one must deal with the sweet and sour moments. I've never repeated this after that one time, but I would like to get your guy's take on how you deal with massive scores against your way early in the game.

Re: Dealing with a blowout.

If I am getting blown out early in the game I still hold onto the slim chance of coming back, but my approach is a lot more aggressive at the place. Usually I am very patient in my approach, but getting down big quick I am doing a lot more hit and runs and anything I can to score runs.

Re: Dealing with a blowout.

i'll still usually play the game if the defecit isn't too extreme, chance of a comeback and i also play to try and improve upon players stats and what not. but if the score is just a ridic amount that i pretty much have no shot of coming back from i'll just fast forward to the end and move on to the next game

Me too, i like to lose, as much as i love to win in baseball videogames
It doesn't matter how bad Im loosing, i sub in my bench players and bring the bullpen early and give some work to those long relievers!

Re: Dealing with a blowout.

If it is a blowout I pull a lot of the everyday players and rest them and give the bench players some work.

Re: Dealing with a blowout.

Usually I have no problem losing, but these games take up to an hour minimum and right now I have no problem because I got back to the University on the 18th of August, but when there's not as much time to play I wonder if fast forwarding the game is not such a bad idea. I mean huge blowouts not like 3-5 run leads, I'm talking about 8 or 9 run lead very early in the game.
