Wondering if These Will Be in F11

I've had a bit of a search around but haven't found anything about these:

Handballs:
I'm hoping they're in, I've had a few winning/tying goals stopped by a handball (& scored a couple with them too) & I think it would be a cool little feature to have in, I remember it was in ps2 versions & thought it was a good touch.

Yellows for kicking the ball away:
This really I don't see as a priority but it's one of those little things where if you get a foul or offside & belt the ball away you'd get a card for it. I usually do it cause I know there's no consequence but I can see myself accidently having a player sent off for doing that which would be a pain but kind of cool in the same way.

Option to argue with the ref.
Again this is just a little fun thing that could potentially screw you over in a match. Not sure how this would be mediated as to what would be an arguable offence but you could choose how... blunt your player wants to be with the ref & that could also result in a card. I thought of this mostly because I have this one friend who whinges about EVERY call that goes against him no matter what, so I'd like to see how unfair he thinks the game can get. This one I haven't thought through all that much & the cold tablets probably aren't helping my coherance either.

Handballs are in the PC version of FIFA 10.

I totally agree. There should be huge delays and huge lulls in the action, making playing 45 minute halves more unpredictable. After an offsiders or a foul, the camera shouldn't cut away to a cutscene, and you should continue to have full control of your player during the cutscene. You'd have to retrieve the ball, place the ball down, and kick it back into play. The control mechanic during this period of time would work similarly to how a goalie picks up a ball with his hands in the penalty area, and places it down with the /\ (triangle) button instead of punting it. that would be what you would be doing after the ball is whistled dead. Instead of you just skipping ahead to the free kick, you should have that option to delay the game if you want to. If you as the player who committed the foul or offside infraction, and you kick the ball away as you say as a delay of game (as the clock is continuously running), he should get a first a warning, then a delay of game.

aussiepats89, i agree that that is how football games are, but FIFA games don't even have 45 minute halves or even a continuous clock. If they truly made delays part of the game with a running clock, then games would be far more interesting and unique experiences.

Yeah like in games like Smackdown vs Raw 2006 on PS2, when you are close to a pinfall but the guy kicks out, there's an option to press L1 and argue with the ref. That'd be cool to have something similar in FIFA. It would result in a delay of game, which during that argument perhaps would replenish the stamina, and the argument would go one way or another depending on whether the call was right or wrong.

If you argue a call that the ref blew on the field, the ref would simply walk away or apologize. If you argue a call that the ref was correct on, the ref could give you a yellow card or a warning. Stuff like that would make FIFA games amazing on the PC.

I would not be a fan of handballs. I know they happen quite a bit in the game, but there's no way to control it. In fact, there aren't really any penalties called that you aren't able to prevent to some degree and that's what I like about FIFA. It's annoying in NCAA Football and games like that where it seems they randomly call holding or clipping even if the offending player didn't touch anybody.

And simgamer mentions arguing with the ref if there's a blown call, which I also think should be left out, simply for the fact that there would be blown calls. I know it happens in real life in every sport, but the refs randomly blowing calls would be very annoying.

Re: Wondering if These Will Be in F11

1) Handballs are quite common in the PS2 version of FIFA 10 but the game at least knows which handballs cards should be used on (ex. in the box, back to back handballs on free kicks) and which ones shouldn't (ex. because a tackle knocked it up, rebounding off a player right next to him).

2) This couldn't really work because the game tends to continue your motions of shooting/crossing/clearing if you hit the corresponding button before the whistle is blown. Unless they had an aggression or anger rating for each player that would determine if the action continues or not then there would be too many yellows because of a fault in the game.

3) This I think should be implemented but it should be like in baseball where the ref/ump acts calm at first and if the player gets out of hand then a card will be shown. Perhaps even have a slight chance that the player can convince the ref the call he made was wrong and he can either reverse his decision or alter the way he calls the game (like being more leniant on offsides) but only if the call was in fact bad. This would eat away the clock for a little bit and would be just like every other sport where the refs might gather and discuss the call if the original call may have been wrong. The more fouling/aggressive/dominating play you do in a game, the less likely the ref will be willing to change the call.

Handballs are for the most part uncontrollable anyway.

They are both in the game of soccer why wouldn't you want them in there. I understand they are uncontrollable, but I want to see some blown calls every no and then from refs. It's really dumb to see a guy offside by less than a centimeter yet the sideline judge caught it.

Being able to argue the calls like that would be amazing, even if they didn't have the feature of overturning the call.

How often are calls overturned in real life FIFA matches?

99% of the time there not overturned, but I want to see players arguing with the refs, or players arguing with eachother and somewhat fight with eachother (pushing)

Say I'm playing Celtic against Rangers I'm sick of it being just another game on FIFA.
In real life, say if Hooper was tackled from behind, Scot Brown would be the first to run over and push down who ever tackled Hooper and Brown would probably punch him.
In FIFA I see a card thats it. There is no emotion to it.
