Hitters counts

Anyone else getting a lot of changeups/offspeed on 2-1 and 3-1, even 3-0 counts? I used to always get fastballs on the fastball counts but now I see a lot of offspeed. Great job by developers but it's getting kind of ridiculous.

Re: Hitters counts

As a pitcher IRL, I hardly ever throw a fastball in a "fastball" count. It could possibly depend on what type of pitcher you are facing. If you are facing a pitcher who relies on his fastball (Nolan Ryan), you'll probably see more fastballs in "fastball" counts. If you are facing a pitcher who relies on off-speed stuff (Greg Maddux), you'll probably see a lot more off-speed pitches in "fastball" counts.

Not using guess pitch, and it seems like it's everyone, not just offspeed dominant pitchers. I have been crushing fastballs on hitters counts over the plate. Now the pitchers are throwing changeups and off speed stuff over for strikes, with pretty good location on hitters counts. I am playing on HoF so maybe that has something to do with it.

Re: Hitters counts

maybe the pitchers don't have high confidence in their fastballs, so they are throwing their other pitches no matter what the count is

Re: Hitters counts

or they look at that batter analysis by clicking the SELECT button and see you crushing FB on FB counts and adjusted

Tough when they start to get your strength huh?

In My RTTS, damn pitchers will throw my curves on pitcher counts because it shows I chase them in the analysis...and I still do...62 Ks in 184 PA's...guh

I hear ya. Any curveball or changeup down and out of the zone sends me shaking my head back to the dugout.
