Re: Create your dream team
This question is still not defined very well. Is this an NFL question, or a Madden question?
For example, in Madden i'll take Vick, in the NFL I'll take Brady.
I would take Wes Welker either way as a #2/Slot reciver. His ability to make plays in the short field and his toughness are unmatched. I would also think about T.O. this year, he is playing really well despite how poorly his team is playing. I would take Calvin Johnson as well. he would be my starter.
I am a Frank Gore fan, and I'll be honest, none of the RBs in the NFL impress me this year. That doesn't mean I think the HB in the lague are bad, but I don't care about the big names. Adrian "Fumbleson" and Chris "I'm fast, and that's about it" Johnson? Where are our Marshal Faulks, our Curtis Martins, our Ladainian "I can run, catch, and even throw MVP level" Tomlinsons? I could get behind MJ-D, but I don't care about the Jags.
Offensive linemen, now we're talking. I'll take the Ravens bookend tackles Michael Oher and Jared Gaither along with Mike Iupati and Jhari Evans at Guard and either Jeff Saturday or Nick Mangold at center.
Defensive line? I prefer the 3-4, so Vince Wilfork, Luis Castio and Haloti Ngata are my choices.
I'll take P. Willy [Patrick Willis] and Ray Ray [Ray Lewis] with Demarcus "who, what, when," Ware "why?" and Clay Matthews as my OLBs.
At corner I want the best. Nnamdi and Revis. For my 3rd and 4th I want Antonio Cromarti and Vernon Davis' little brother, Vonte. Cromartie has "3 foot arms" and has shown he can cover anyone. I don't care what his rating in Madden is, he has been a beast breaking up passes this year.
At safety the obvious call is Troy, but at FS there isn't anyone that jumps out at me. I think I would just take Eric Berry, the rookie, and move him over. He is having a monster rookie season and is already one of the best in the league.
If anyone noticed I didn't mention TE, it's becasue the choice whould be obvious, honorarry member to USA's olympic curling team, Vernon Davis.
