How long does the association last??

I've always been curious as to how far an Association/Franchise Mode could extend. Then I've always wondered what happened when you reached the end. I secretly hoped the game threw some kind of digital party and then present you with a nice parting gift. Or maybe even like. . .a gravestone graphic, insinuating you as the general manager had passed away. I think that'd be a little bleak though. Maybe a retirement mode, where you see the team swept out from beneath your feet then read via newspaper articles about how the new guy is running the franchise into the ground. It'd have to be some kind of futuristic newspaper though.

I think the first game of the 2050 season should have flesh-hungry robots tear through your team's arena and fire advanced lasers and missiles into the audience, killing hundreds and signifying the end of the world.

NBA Today Headlines would read: "Millions of humans disposed of during New World Robot Regime. South Beach is talking championship this year..."
