Option Offense

Has the CPU psychic defense play calling stopped anyone from trying to run a Georgia Tech type offense during a dynasty

Also can someone tell me on the depth chart where does my backfield come from
Is it the FB and the first two running backs

1) I have trouble running the option offense against the CPU, but I'm bad with that playbook, so I may not be the best guy to ask. Still, you may have to increase run blocking if you want to get a decent amount of yards.

2) I believe the line up is FB, RB2, RB1, but I'm not posotive about that.

Re: Option Offense

Whatever slider's youre using, bump up Run Blocking and Lower CPU Rush Defense by a click or two. That will help.

However, with this comes a problem. If youre running a read option from the spread or a triple option from the flexbone, and then you decide to switch to pro running, you will be too successful. It's easiest to run from Pro sets in this game, so a rushing attack that averages 4 or 5 from the Option or Spread will average 6 or 8 from the Pro in my experience. Just be wary of this. If you run a Pro and Spread and Option (Air Force playbook makes fairly generous use of all three) then find a middle ground.

Re: Option Offense

I have had some success using Army playbook. The problem is, that the play action is broken, and the option pass is too, so half of your playbook is removed.

Just run triple option all game, and make good reads. Thats all I do. Mix in a pass or two, maybe chage to a couple different run plays, but your base offense is triple option.

This. Every game so far in my Army dynasty I average 3-8 passes a game. Unless I'm down with not a lot of time left (8-18 against eastern michigan). My QB, FB, and Both HBs all receiver about 6-12 carries each game. Passing is obsolete in this offense if you can get ahead first or have long time consuming drives that you can benefit off of.

Re: Option Offense

Actually, it is wake forest. Their I form option is the most complete in the game. And they have great spread elements as well.

Secondly, if you are having issues running the option and making the correct read, please watch my tutorial videos. Link is in sig.
