for me that animation just randomly happens.
Try pointing the Right analog stick the direction you wanna finish.

Yep its random its not nothin you can trigger everytime down.I think that layups under all star layup package.Best way to do it is like he did and beat the defender off the dribble and with a clear lane push the RS into the post defender.I do it all the time but again its random
