Poll: Will A Cancelled NBA Season Affect NBA 2k12 Sales Figures?

As we all know by now, the chances of having an NBA Season this year is very slim based on the latest breakdown in negotiations. Despite the many complaints about 2K12, it is still undeniable that 2k put forth a stellar game. I for one would like to see them harvest the fruits of their labor. BUT...As much as I would like them to break the record that 2k11 established, I don't think they can do it without an NBA Season this year. What do you think?

honestly? it may HELP it (longshot) but if people need their nba fix, there's no other way to get it

but i think the lockout more than anything hurts it.. leaves a sour taste in the mouth, you know?

like, nobody wants anything to do with the nba/etc, that type of thing

I agree, the NBA lockout may hurt the sales of this game. I talked to my brother and one of my friends about NBA2K12, they both said they forgot it even came out and wasn't really interested in playing a basketball game this year because there is no real NBA going on right now. Damn this lockout.......

I voted for no, because 2k11 is THE legend

specifically, the Michael Jordan legend and the "Jordan Challenges"

.....2k12 is infinitely better but I think people forgot how groundbreaking a game 2k11 was and the shockwaves it sent out not just in sporting games but the entire videogame industry

look at it this way, 2k11 was such a groundbreaking event that with that 1 game, 2k killed EA's nba titles for the next 4 years

1 title killed EA's nba title.. for 4 years

2k12 is better though, it just won't have the effect 2k11 had because nobody expected what 2k has now brought to the table with 2k11 and improved with 2k12

Asking 'how much' is too open for speculation and not answerable by a 'yes' or 'no' which is almost required in a poll.
