I decided to do a fantasy draft until Knight's rosters come out. I did download one roster set to get some of the bigger prospects like Cespedes and Darvish. It's the "64 Hours" one and it's quite good so far.

The A's are the team I chose for a few reasons: I'm a phillies fan so east coast and AL team was attractive, I loved Moneyball (yea yea, I know...), and the A's used to be in my hometown of philly.

I've never had much luck with fantasy drafts, usually drafting in the 20s, but this time, I am ranked 7th overall: 10th batting, 13th pitching, 6th defense.

I decided to mostly go for cheaper players. I also tried to get "young" players in their 20s if at all possible. I splurged on a few players like Ubaldo and Mauer but most guys have 1M or less contracts.

3B - Casey Blake (one of the few vet starters)
LF - RAUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLL Ibanez (another vet, but VERY cheap)
CF - Yoenis Cespedes (hey, just like the real A's!)
RF - Jose Tabata
DH - Jim Thome (again a cheap vet @ only 1mil)

For those positions with older players, I tried to draft A rated prospects to fill in once the vets retire.

I really like this team, lots of variety in former teams and nice mix of young guns and old vets. This is what I'm mostly playing until OSFM comes out then I'll rotate with my Phillies franchise.

I started a Franchise with the Nats while I wait for Knight's rosters. Simmed all the way through the first season. Only played Opening Day and the World Series clincher.

I'm playing mine until Knight's roster too. I am having a lot of fun with this team.

4-1 record, martain and freeman are hitting everything in sight. jay is horrible with a .227 avg. I'm thinking about dropping him in the order.

sherrill right now is garbage gave up 3 runs in the 9 th to losee my last game. going to switch his role with oliver who has been lights out.

would like to say it probably not a great team in other peoples eyes, but I enjoy picking guys that are not as well known. I also play players at secondary positions, as I feel it's useful. I do not like my Pitchers much, but I do great with Jimenez for some reason. Could of taken kennedy or CJ instead.
