In every iteration of the 2k series since the dreamcast days we had Online leagues with full Website component. In 2K12 2K re-invented the wheel, and came up with a square with Online Association. This was the main reason I returned the game (crew was the other). Online association gave no options to the commissioner of the league it was a logistical nightmare for anyone trying to run one.
On 2k11 the Commissioner could do everything from advance the schedule, to placing Free agents on the other members teams.
For those who weren't aware of the Online Leagues website component let me explain:
Online Leagues
- Every League you created there was a sister website that accompanied it on 2ksports.com
- from that leagues website you could edit the front page
- Every stat could be traacked
- Separate forums just for your league members
- Team pages
- Trades offered/Made
- You could track every game in real time (Just Like NBA.com Game Channel)
- reset games, grant wins, Losses
- create Playoff seedings
I am most concerned with 2K picking up a bad habit from EA, giving us something, then they take it away. I don't want to play with the computer, if I did I would play offline Association. The Point of Going online is to play against humans without having to invite them over, and have them eat all my cheetos.
