I thought i'd pick up on slickdtc's question at the end of the darkhorse team thread and ask who's your disappointing team for 2012?

I don't know if they count but it seems everybody in the media at least has high expectations for them but I think the Cowboys are in for a bad year. A lot of the players on the roster are on the wrong side of 30 and while Romo has been very good I think the defense just isn't consistent enough.

As for a disappointing AFC team? I can't really think of one off the top of my head. I don't know how realistic some people's expectations of the Jets are but that team is headed for a huge fall. In fact, I could see Rex Ryan possibly losing his job at the end of the year.

Between failing lines, aging stars and guys bitching over contracts, not to mention Ben's duct taped together body and the lack of any good RB, I don't see anyway they make it through the entire season.

The NFC?

Um, I guess I'll pick the 49ers, but they won't be disappointing, they'll be about 9-7. Alex Smith will come back down to earth and Gore will miss some time.

It's hard to say disappointing. But I wouldn't be shocked if the Giants finished 3rd in the NFC East. I still think San Fran is the best team in the West, but I have them one and done in the play-offs if they don't host a game.

Baltimore's defense is older and without Suggs early on I could see them slide back. Cincy could miss the play-offs. Until I see something different still don't like New Englands defense, but they have a lot of promising rookies. They could be one and done in the play-offs too.

I got the Bucs. They broke the bank but I think it's gonna take a bit to gel together.

I also see a major slump for the Bengals on the way. Very young team that was mor fortunate than good last season.
