WARNING: The further you get in RTTS, the more inflated the numbers

I have seen topics about inflated numbers (including mine), but not as it relates to them rising year by year in RTTS. I don't know about Franchise because I'm still in year one.

Here's my situation......year 2021 of RTTS. Sliders (which don't affect simulation) are no more than 2 for CPU batting and maxed out for CPU pitching on All Star mode. About 120 games through the season.

The highest team batting average is .318, the lowest is .284, 14 teams have a team batting average higher than .300 so far.

The highest team OBP is .398 and the lowest is .337 (in 2012, St Louis led with a .337 mark).

Five teams have 200+ HR's through 120 games. Just about everybody is already over 150 HR's, which would put all teams near or above the 200 season mark at seasons end. About four-five teams on average do this realistically each year.

Twenty plus players have a .350 or better average, 40 plus players have 30 or more HR's.

I don't know whether a patch would mean you need to start over or what. Just wanted everybody to know how skewed these numbers are the further you get and take that into consideration when starting/playing.

Re: WARNING: The further you get in RTTS, the more inflated the numbers

The cause of this is the overabundance of A potential players coupled with the spring training bug that causes young players to rapidly progress and older players to rapidly regress. This is supposedly being patched and a general rule of thumb for all iterations of MLB The Show is to hold off on starting a franchise/RTTS until the first patch drops (since there always seems to be at least one game breaking bug at release).

Another thing I'm seeing is very old rookies with amazing stats.

I have two 90 plus rated rookies (98 and 90), both outfielders, that are 33 and 34 years old on my team alone. Just looking at a few other teams, I've seen this is the case throughout the league.

I managed to get through a whole career. The stats at the end were beyond ridiculous, in one season there were over 20 .400 hitters, over 25 players with 200 RBI's + and the pitchers were all sucky.

1st base controls

RTTS 1st base here. Useing manual catch (R2) . Question. When a line drive is heading my way can I move my glove with R3? Or is it depended on your fielding rating? Cuz those bullets fly by all the time.
Thanx

Re: WARNING: The further you get in RTTS, the more inflated the numbers

I'm guessing there is no real way to fix this until a patch comes out.

Hopefully a patch will fix it, and we haven't entered the NCAA Football era of this game where it's always wait until next year.

Editing rosters doesn't work for a career because you'd have to find every single new player and adjust stats.

Yikes.
