Hi all, my PSN name is. I have played The Show series since it first came out and have been a loyal and loving fan ever since.
I don't usually play online as I'm more of a franchise player, but I redeemed my online code on Thursday, April 18, to play with a friend. I noticed the Weekly Challenge and decided to give it a shot. This week's challenge featured Chase Utley vs. Jake Westbrook. The user plays as Utley and tries to accumulate as many points as possible before recording three outs. Outs are only recorded via strikeout.
Since I pride myself on plate discipline, I figured I'd have a good chance at this challenge. After a few tries, I was ranked #3 on the leaderboard.
I apologize for the gigantic image, but you get the idea.
I played it a few more times, upping my score but remaining third on the leaderboard for the rest of Thursday. However, on Friday night, I had a great run and despite the previous leader extending his own record, I was going to pass him and have the top score. However, when I struck out for my third out (having an active score well past what I needed for 1st place), my challenge refused to end. It repeatedly gave me a "Weak Hit" result after I intentionally tried to strike out to justifiably end my game. Nothing worked. I checked my internet connection and sure enough I was logged into the PSN. Everything seemed to be working fine except my game would not conclude.
You can watch the
VIDEO here of my failed attempt to end my round.
In the video, you can see my active score is 118,309 which should get multiplied by the multiplier, which is at 284, then added to my total score.
118,309 x 284 = 33,599,756
33,599,756 + 12,174,436 = 45,774,192
The current leader's score is in the top right box.
After trying everything, I exited the game hoping that it would count my score, but unfortunately it did not. This had nothing to do with network errors, poor connections, or anything on my end. This was a clear unfair outcome caused by a blatant bug.
