Playing NCAA Football 98 to 14

I have been thinking about playing a season on every version of NCAA Football, from the beginning(98 - 14), now that we know it is over.

I would need to purchase most of the games, but the early ones are easy to find cheap. My PS3 will play both PS1 and PS2 games.

Has anyone tried to do this before? Any thoughts?

I think I've done something similar to this, although not intentionally. Despite my constant complaining about the game, I still own every version 99-14. About a year ago I had a blast going through some of my old games and playing them again. I can't imagine playing a whole season of any of the PS1 versions though. I think you will be terribly bored of playing with blocky figures after a game or two, but I think the games are still worth keeping.

If you do it... make a video like this one... only 10 minutes shorter!

You'll get bored pretty quickly due to the bad gameplay.

Don't get me wrong, I own most of those titles and loved them, but man were some of them broken with cheese galore.

Of course, you could always just play to enjoy that. It'll make you appreciate the more recent titles better.

In some of the earliest ones, playing Virginia Tech was a hoot, because Michael Vick was literally unstoppable. You could run around in the backfield endlessly and the defensive players would never catch up to him.

I think in 2001, they didn't figure out how to defend passes to HBs in the flat, so you could make any running back in the game a Heisman winner because they would get 200-300 receiving yards a game.
