2014 Summer Transfers

What players do you want your favourite team to sign during the transfer window?

Draxler to Bayern

Suarez to Real Madrid

Reus stays at BVB

Costa to Chelsea

only Bayern is "my team", but those are my predictions...

I really hope we don't buy Costa.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfers

it seems as though Chelsea were linked to pretty much every big striker. with Ba way down the list and Eto'o probably leaving in the summer to finish his career in Mallorca (i think its them), that leaves just Torres. Who can't be a number one striker and get the results that Abramovich wants. (not to say he is bad or anything. I happen to really like him). Makes sense for them to sign the hottest player in La Liga right now...

Yes you are right, Eto'o is returning to Mallorca. I am hoping Real Madrid will sell Benzema and buy either Cavani or Suárez.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfers

Costa has a massive attitude, I wouldn't want him for the same reasons I wouldn't want Balotelli.

Shelling out that kind of money for somebody unproven in the epl is a huge risk, there is no guarantee Costa will come to England and start ripping it up.

For Jose's new system, if we were dead set on blowing a bunch of cash, I'd love one of:
Rooney
Zlatan(my unproven in England comment doesn't apply to The Zlatan)

Otherwise, Chelsea have some really startling youth strikers(other than Lukaku) that I'd love to see brought into the first team.

As long as Bristol City hold on to Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, I'd be pretty happy.

Can't see it happening though.

I've been watching a lot of Atletico lately and would be ok with Costa if the price is right. Maybe a swap and send Torres back. He's very chippy but he's comfortable with his back to goal, good with both feet, tenacious, and has enough pace to worry CB's. He will most likely be starting at CF for Brazil this summer so a good performance will jack up his fees.

I would love Rooney but with his new contract he's going to be on ridiculous wages. Same for Zlatan who to be honest, would be great in any league.

I still want Luke Shaw as the replacement to Ashley Cole. That way Azpi can fill in at either LB or his more natural RB slot with Bran giving cover at CB.
