NFL in Oklahoma City?

Hey, guys. It's been a long time. Anyway, I posted on my fantasy football Web site about the possibility of an NFL team in Oklahoma City one day. I ended up asking for design submissions (Uni-Watch.com helped spread the word), but I have only received one submission. Does anyone here do logo/uniform design for the hell of it?

Here's the link: http://www.okiraqi.org/nfl-in-okc.html

For those that remember, I used to be "shortsoldier." I live in the OKC area now and finish law school in May. I'll be working and living in Oklahoma City when I graduate.

Justin.

That's the link to the design contest. We ended up getting 11 submissions.

Re: NFL in Oklahoma City?

I don't see why OKC is suddenly consideration for another pro sports team. Lets see how the city does first in terms of attendance/support when the Thunder struggle for a few seasons because right now they're one of the luckiest cities in sports history getting to inherit a team with a superstar player(Colorado Avalanche are probably the luckiest in sports history, inheriting the real good Quebec Nordiques in NHL,which lead to Avs getting Stanley Cups).

Not saying I don't like OKC, I actually like their roster alot(Harden was one of my fave players before he was even traded), I just hate how OKC fans are spoiled with the team they got.

It'll never happen, but I'd like to see an NFL team in Omaha. Or really any sort of major league professional team. I think the area is big enough with surrounding cities as well to create a local fan base. Also, you can't argue with Nebraska's sellout record. Nebraska loves football, man.

You might be able to pull of baseball, but they'd have to expand Ameritrade Park. As it stands, it's not big enough.
