Warrior's Association tips (NBA 2k14)

I'm fond of using the Warriors in actual game play, but I'm unsure on if I can make them successful within Association mode. So I was wondering, does anyone have any tips? I'm pushing towards a team that has great rebounding and great shooting (The reason I initially chose the Warriors, I mean they could have better rebounding but that's not a big concern). I'd also like to keep 3 players in particular, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes. So please keep in mind this when blessing me with tips.

Thanks in advance!

Try to develop, what I call, "simulation beasts." On the Warriors, Draymond Green can become a great player with Untapped Potential. I know you're gonna eventually simulate games, so having Green play PF after a year can really play a role into great shooting and rebounding. Also, draft a player with potential and don't be afraid to trade for a lottery pick. Great players can fall in the draft because of CPU draft/trade logic. Make sure your top scorer is steph curry for years to come, not to mention he'll likely break the 3 point record in a single season once or twice.

Is their anything I can do in the first year to maybe go deeper in the playoffs? Regardless, I will do that with Draymond. And I normally sim the season than the only time I'll actually play is if there is a game 7. And what teams are usually the top picks? Just so I can get a high pick and avoid the A.I's randomness. And any players you recommend trading for?

I can't recommend players to trade for, but I can give you teams that usually end up with lottery picks. Teams like the Magic, the 76ers, the Jazz, the Grizzlies (usually a higher lottery or rarely make the playoffs), the Suns, the Kings, the Celtics, and the Bucks are guaranteed lottery picks to trade for. To go deeper in the playoffs, you have to have luck on your side really. Just recently I began to use the Warriors in a sim-only association and they got swept by a first seed Houston. However, in some of my other simmed associations, I've seen the Warriors go all the way and about three times they've won. Usually they should go second round at least.

Thinking back I've noticed after the second year, the Lakers are usually a pretty high lottery pick. And thank you, but I've never really used the draft lol so my knowledge is limited. I normally use trading and free agency. And in all of my Associations it's always the Heat vs the Rockets or Spurs. Everytime lol.
