CPU vs CPU Franchise fatigue

I'm doing a franchise where I'm basically in GM mode. I make all the team decisions but as far as games go, I watch them (CPU vs CPU). I'm 21 games in, and have had the same lineup every game. I was wondering if the CPU will ever adjust my lineup due to fatigue, or if it won't because I'm going into the game to watch?

Normally, after the team select screen, you select your pitcher and then set your lineup. Well, since I do CPU vs CPU, at the team select screen I move the controller to the center and it just enters the game that way. No way for me to view fatigue/adjust lineups accordingly. I was hoping the CPU would take control of this. Also, in settings I have lineups/rotation set to Auto.

Anyone who knows anything about this, help/info would be appreciated.

Re: CPU vs CPU Franchise fatigue

with how you have it setup, I would think the cpu would alter lineups based on fatigue (and possibly performance) on its own.

I know this old, but perhaps the OP figured this out.

I run my franchise the same way. Did you figure out any solution?

Im not sure if im reading this post correctly but couldnt you just go into the game as if your going to play with your team, switch the controller to your team, adjust lineups, start game then go into options and switch back to com vs com, im not sure because i dont play that mode but it sounds logical i guess....

That's what I do. I set the game to play game and set my lineups. Once in game I change the team back over to cpu control.

Thanks, will do that. If you don't assign a controller before that game, it doesn't give the lineup screen. But I go to assign a controller, then check out the lineups and then exit out and go back and adjust my lineups for fatigue. Then run it as cpu vs cpu.

Re: CPU vs CPU Franchise fatigue

I asked this questions several months ago in the PS3 forum. Never got an answer to it.

I, too, play CPU vs CPU mode. My lineup never changes in the games I watch. It only changes (based off fatigue and perfromance - I'm assuming) when I sim.

So we have to go into the game as if we are playing it, set the lineups and then go back and make it CPU vs CPU? You'd think the CPU would update the lineup for you if you starting off as CPU vs CPU, but I guess that's not the case.

I play MoM games inside of Season mode and when time permits I also do a lot of CPU vs CPU games for the other 29 teams in the league (I have my Season setup as 30 team user control). My observations in MLB 14 was that the CPU will indeed sub when players tire. The only thing is that threshold for when a CPU player tires is lower than the human controlled player. The CPU will allow their players to play more games before they finally get subbed versus when the game recommends to the human player that their players are tired and could use a rest on a given day. But rest assured the CPU will give their players the occasional day off.
