Also, the roster file showed up as damaged when I tried to load in game.

Did you download it using Internet Explorer?
How are you trying to get the roster onto your console?

I just downloaded it on Chrome and put it on a new profile and had it work fine.

Are these just ratings or does this roster include rookies and free agent moves as well?

It includes everything from madden 15
