When calling a run play if you hike the ball and put the controller down the CPU will run pretty good for you without any human interaction.

It's called auto run and you can turn it off in settings. It's basically the only coach mode the game has at this point for Franchise mode.

How exactly does this ruin the game?

Are people this desperate to dig to find "Game Killers"?

It would actually be kind of cool to put the game on the broadcast view, pick a play, and let it fly. Heck, I suck so bad at defense I might just start doing this.

Yeah pretty much. Reason you can turn on coach mode and..coach..
And I don't believe you ever can turn it off. Coach mode only turns on auto pass.

Yes they are. Tons of people want to be that guy that can post a "Look at me!!!" thread about some major issue.

I do that with my offline CFM. It's really fun letting players handle it and just coach/manage the team.
