found Digital download error 0X800706f4 fix

I just came accross an error message when trying to startup Nba 2k15 on XB1. After a little research I found 2 fixes that don't involve deleting and waiting on another install. I suggest mixing the fix together since they can be done at the same time and nobody knows which fix will work until after you try it.

1. turn off auto sign in.

2. Do a hard reset by holding down the front button for 15 seconds. after the lights go out the system will start to make a low buzzing sound. That sound will last longer then the 15 seconds so after you stop pressing the X wait for the sound to stop before turning back on.

3. repeat step 2 another 2 times (being reported online as suggested by xbox support.) Not sure why 3 times is necessary but that is what they are reporting.

4. don't sign into xbox live until you start the game and it requests you to sign in.

These steps worked for me.

Sigh* Did not work for me. Appreciate the info though. Was your game 100% installed when you tried this or was it partially installed but enough to play the demo?

I've had this issue for over a day now. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice and I'm currently at 12% complete. I'm about to lose my patience

I had this error occur during the download. The way I fixed it:

1) Hard reset

2) Waited until the power indicator on the power brick turned orange and then turned the console back on

3) Started the game before I reconnected to Xbox Live

You could try that, but there doesn't seem to be a universal fix that works for everyone. I once received this error for both the digital version of Titanfall and the disc version of Watch_Dogs and all the known fixes didn't work. My last resort was a complete system restore, which meant I had to reinstall all of my games again. This was a while ago, so thankfully I didn't own many X1 games at the time. I hope it doesn't come to that with you.

Thanks for reply but unfortunately this trick did not work for me either. It wouldn't let me attempt to launch the game until I connected to the Internet to continue the installation.

Sorry to hear nothing is working for you. My issue came after install was complete and the game was working perfect for hours. Are you working with an open connection without any messages bellow the open? If there is a message maybe you have to open some ports on the router.

could also be another game, patch, or app. I remember having issues on the 360 with a game until I deleted some apps and games I didn't play anymore. Ms is supposed to run checks on this stuff before updates/patches hit the public but but sometimes they miss one.

Wow thank you! All I did was uninstall 2 games that I don't play anymore and now it works perfectly. That was the issue too because I tried launching the game 2 minutes before that. And my connection was open and all services available.
