Empty netter philisophy

just curious how people go about empty netters... do you...

A) just try to score with anybody that gets close

B) Try to score with your stud sniper to try to help him in goal race

C) do you try to score with your young up and coming star

D) try and score with that guy you like but he isn't known for a lot of goals

Re: Empty netter philisophy

I just go with the flow of the game. If I have a guy who is trying to get a hat trick I will look for them, other than that I usually am not too picky about it. I will look for a pass before a shot just to get an extra point through an assist for a guy.

I just get it in the net with whomever I can. I've been burned by RoboCPU in late game situations way too many times! haha.

It's kind of annoying how a 3-2 game quickly turns into a 6-3 game, but oh well....

I always just get it to center ice and then dump it in. Since the AI is braindead in regards to actually trying to prevent the puck from escaping, it's just too easy to add the empty netter.

I just try to score with anyone, but I try to get two passes in to get the goal and two assists.

I'll try and score with anyone who's in position, but I never go for empty-netter no. 2, which is only possible due to the long-standing case of EA lunacy.

If I have a guy who's about to get a hat trick then I'll let them score. However my best line as of late has been "The Brothers Line" featuring Nick and Marcus Foligno. If they're on the ice I usually give one of them the assist to the other.
