NBA 2K15 Gameplay Problems

Hey guys, so I'm showing some of the problems/ things that frustrate me about 2K15 right now. I would just like a healthy discussion, maybe you guys can enlighten me on some of these things, or maybe you guys can share your own experiences that are similar to mine.

Just a quick background: This was a game I played while testing out my draft class, so this was on the 2nd year of MyLeague. I used timsmooth's Roster on the PS4, and playing on Superstar Sim. This is post patch 3 update.

Anyway, please watch this video:

1 - I had good position but wasn't able to get the rebound. Jumping and boxing out shouldn't be 2 different actions. I shouldn't be penalized for trying to go for a rebound when I already have position and I'm using an elite rebounder.

2 - First, my move with Zoran should have been an offensive foul. 2nd, Jamal Crawford just slammed Vucevic on the floor and NO FOUL was called LOL! What's even funnier is that because he got slammed so hard he couldn't move and got called for a 3 second violation.

3 - Not sure if it's just me, but most of the time when I pass without using Icon passing, it usually passes towards someone who is blanketed by the defense. Rarely does it go where I intend it to.

And also, Dirk, with his lightning quick reflexes as an elite defender, quickly reacts to block my shot. Awesome.

Now on the other side, this happens way too often, with the offensive players getting offensive rebounds off of blocks. I wish they'd fix this, it really drains you when you play good d and end up being scored on because you blocked a shot.

4 - That's a goaltending according to NBA 2K15.

5 - Post patch, they added this protect ball animation, which really slows you down offensively. You shouldn't have to protect the ball like that when you have a lane to drive towards to. (Though in this example, you shouldn't have to do it when there's an opponent that can just swipe the ball from you)

So I ended up with that terrible shot lol.

6 - Terrible possession for me, but players shouldn't be doing this type of dunk in traffic. Nor should it be easily blocked by the defense.

And then, here's another thing I hate, when you get called for a foul when you "push" people towards the backcourt, or out of bounds. I do this in real life, of course I don't really push people, but I cut off their lane and bother them to do it. But since there's no way to simulate that in-game, we shouldn't be penalized for trying to bother them with tactics like this.

7 - I wish players would actually try to reach for the ball when trying to contest a shot. Reaching for air happens way too much, it's really frustrating.

8 - ... And finally, this layup. The CPU makes way too many layups like this. Actually, the CPU makes way too many contested shots inside/close range.

EXTRA Stuff:

9 - Does anyone know why that Update thing is there? What is so urgent that it has to update right away? I've already updated to the earliest patch yesterday, what update is this supposed to be?

10 - Just a reminder, RapboY Draft Class v2.0 is coming this Friday!

I agreed with #5. After the patch...i hated that you can't fastbreak on the side because your man AUTOMATICALLY slow down (pretending to protect the ball) even though as a user, you don't want to slow down and instead want to go straight and attack the basket. This BS automatically slow my offensive player down without my control is ridiculous. Before the batch it was great. Also, during fastbreak...your player should be going moving toward the hoop on a 2-1 fastbreak or 3-2 fastbreak....instead i see them moving toward the arc and so what is supposed to be a dunk ended up being a jump shot. So frustrating.

Re: NBA 2K15 Gameplay Problems

Have you updated to the most recent patch? Doesn't look like it...

As for #1...I don't see the problem. Rebounding is about position, but just because you have inside position doesn't mean you should grab every rebound. Sometimes it's better to have outside position...like on a long rebound. Your guy technically has inside position but is too far under the hoop to rebound a shot with that kind of hard bounce off the rim. He also never jumps.

I think the patch is a step in the right direction. The fact that it slows down some of the cheesy unstoppable offensive moves actually gives the game some proper balance.
