Bunting for hits too easy?

Or maybe it's just me.

Using the directional (L/R) buttons seems to be having guys lay down perfectly executed down the line bunts so far for me.

Anybody else seeing this?

Bunts have always been easy to lay down in the show. Which is funny because the majority of major leaguers are terrible at it and could not lay one down if their life depended on it.

It would be helpful if their rating had more bite in the success rate.

Re: Bunting for hits too easy?

Last night during my Dynamic Difficulty resetting debacle, I played around a half dozen games where I intentionally tried to get myself out at the plate for every batter.

Aside from purposely swinging and missing, I laid down an absurd amount of bunts (I was the AL AS team, so these were sluggers not bunters) in an attempt to purposely get myself out.

I had several hits on perfect bunts down the third base line. They were all regular bunts and not last second drag bunts, by the way. My opinion is that it's way way too easy to bunt for hits this year but I'm also not going to pretend I have any statistics on bunt-for-hit success rate.

Its gonna be one of those things where you'll need to create a house rule on the #of bunt for hit attempts you cant try in a game. At least its not like Madden where you need to create a handful of house rules to just make the cpu challenging

Agreed. A slider for this would be good. The slider could I increase the number of bunted fouls. Higher risk less reward.

Yea, I'm finding also that I can drag bunt perfectly with guys that have like 20 in bunting and drag bunting. Pretty ridiculous. I just did it perfectly with Blake Swihart.

Re: Bunting for hits too easy?

I guess I'm in the minority here as I haven't been able to bunt for a base hit yet. I've laid down sacrifices, but bunting for hits, I have not successfully done.

Maybe I need to practice.

You should need to move the analog to where the ball is to bunt, would make it way harder instead of just holding circle and covering the entire zone.
