I know people are frustrated and want it RIGHT NOW, but this really is excellent turnaround time on EA's end. Hopefully it hits everyone's main issues.

Agreed. Personally, I wan't expecting anything soon than 2-2.5 weeks after launch.

No, because on the off-chance the patch is rejected by first-party and they have to fix something / kick a can down the road that would just make people angry.

They will most likely release patch notes when the thing is ready for us to download and no sooner than that.
