Foolish to Trade Jamal Charles?

Not sure he is fitting my system, and I just can't seem to ever get him going.

I'm in my first season, just played my 5th game. I'm using my CPB based off of the run n gun. I guess i'm mostly a run between the tackles guy, nothing fancy, grind it out, hard hitting.

i get more production out of knile davis on a consistent basis. not real sure if it's a programming type deal, or if it's a, he fits my system better deal.

Anyhow, i was thinking maybe i'd trade charles. just a foolish idea? he's 28, still has 3 years left on contract, and a pretty hefty cap penalty, 2.94M.

What would you do?

Knile Davis is a Madden BEAST. I actually posted about him in the underrated player thread. I am using him on the Titans. His contract was also ending that same year so I got to immediately resign him to a 6 year deal.

I would definitely trade Charles. There are quite a few real life HBs that just don't translate to Madden. Even though their numbers and overalls are good, they are not focused enough in one aspect to be good Madden players. I use 2 backs, one all out power back (Knile) and one speed back (Demp from FA).

I'm only one game into my CFM but I am using Jeremy Langford Rookie out of Mich St. He runs hard for me. Traded Ivory for him.

I have never been able to use the real speedy guys on madden.. normally the high 80s guys that can break tackles and get extra yards for me is what I work with.

I have been pondering trading Zac Stacy for Ameer Abdullah and creating me a thunder and Lightning duo. B1G style..

For HBs, there is almost never a bad trade. 3 M in cap hit is nothing, especially if you can get a draft pick.

Exceptions maybe Peterson or McCoy. HBs are so interchangeable in this game

I like knile davis and have him as my #2 hb in my raiders franchise. He does really good in that role for me, but when Murray got hurt for like 3 games I really struggled to get Davis going. Just my experience but for whatever reason as a change of pace he destroys defenses but feature he struggled. I would still try to get a hb in return (or by FA) that you also like just in case.
